Faiths In Conversation

Hello Everyone!

My name is Kat and I invite you to take this journey with me.

I am a new Muslim who was raised in Christianity. This is my blog! I hope to use it to share my thoughts and journeys with you. Nothing here will be perfect, but it will be authentic. I find that there is too much “fake” in the world these days.

My plan is to share what I am learning in all areas of my life. I will discuss religion, healing, parenting, language learning (my Arabic learning specifically), and anything else that happens to catch my attention. Maybe some recipes I find interesting? Maybe something I learned while job hunting? Maybe something from my day that shocked or taught me something? Who knows!

You will find my writing style is not traditional. I try to keep a conversational or relaxed feel to all my writing. This caused me some problems in school, but overall, most people seem to appreciate it. I hope you find it engaging and interesting as we begin this journey together. In the future, some of my post may be written in Arabic, but that is in a distant future where I can writing in Arabic as a practical speed. Let’s just say, I am not even close to that currently.

My hope is to one day invite those of differing opinions here or on a podcast to discuss their views and find common ground. We are all seeking the same thing through differing means. Hate does not gain anyone anything. Love wins hearts, souls, and minds. At our very core, I believe we all want the same thing.
